Snow White Shopping

I am making a Snow White costume myself. I have watched the movie and taken detailed notes from reference shots from the movie I found on Google Images. I see you were Ariel, but I have one question if you remember: Is the braid or trimming down the front of her bodice and along her waist brown or gold? The movie and ref shots show it as an odd brown-grey, even in my digitally remastered DVD version. I am wearing this costume to my first con and I am really worried about making sure it is accurate, and all of the new Disney pictures of Snow White eliminate the braid entirely.
